inside of you. Just as we know that your child has great value and purpose, we also know you have great value and purpose. We believe that God cares about every detail of your daily life and that He loves you right where you are this very minute. He offers His love freely as a gift with no strings attached and He wants to know you personally.
Our home is a place where we celebrate life as a gift from a loving God. We believe that every child should be loved and valued just as God loves and values each of us. Through our 12 wonderful years of marriage God has grown our love for each other, for children, and has given us a desire to care for a house full of His beautiful children. He has blessed us with 4 wonderful children—Abigail (7), Jonathan (5), Sarah (4), and Meredith (3)—that we are truly thankful for and enjoy very much. Shortly after the birth of Meredith, God confirmed to both of us that there were more children that He wanted to bless us with through adoption. With His help, we want to provide a forever family for a child where they will feel safe, valued, cherished, and loved beyond measure.
All of our activities focus on being together as a family and enjoying each other. We believe the best way to teach our children to be loving, confident, Christ-like adults is through our example while spending time with them. We teach our children daily of their great value as a creation of a loving and compassionate God who created them uniquely and perfectly to be exactly who they are.
We are a home schooling family, which not only allows us to provide excellent one on one academic teaching, but also to incorporate our values and beliefs into our daily studies. We believe that it is our responsibility as parents to teach our children both academically and spiritually. We also enjoy activities with our local home school association which provides extra curricular activities, field trips, and graduation ceremonies. Mindy enjoys putting together special projects for the kids including sewing, cooking, gardening, nature walks, games, crafts and field trips to make learning fun. David enjoys being involved in teaching the children by helping with math, science and piano. Every evening, we gather as a family to eat a home cooked meal and visit about the day’s events. Before bedtime we gather in the living room where David leads in Bible study and family prayer together. We love to hear the sound of our children praying for each other and thanking God for His blessings. You and your child are often lifted up by our children during our family prayer times.
Our extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all live close by and share our values and beliefs. We get together with them often to enjoy their fellowship and friendship. Our extended family supports us in our decision to adopt. They are all excited to welcome a new family member as one of our own, just as God gives each of us the opportunity to be adopted into His forever family.
We live in a small community and enjoy a close church family who have supported and prayed for us through our journey to find the child God has for our family. They are as excited as we are to welcome a new child into our lives. They, too, have been praying for you since before God placed this life inside of you.
We know that this is a very difficult time in your life and we pray that God will confirm in your heart the decision that is best for your child. We want you to know that we will continue to pray for you long after this time in your life has passed, whether or not you choose to place your child for adoption with our family or for adoption at all.
May the Lord bless you and your child each with happy, fulfilled, long lives to His glory.
Sincerely,
David, Mindy, Abigail, Jonathan, Sarah, and Meredith
